01 · The start
First three steps
Out of a stance, a shuffle or a standstill. Most of what decides a play happens before anybody hits top speed, and it is the most coachable thing on your roster.

For the metro-east coach with no strength staff, no facility of their own, and one short off-season window to work with.

[ 01 ] For coaches
Elite Speed trains whole teams at 3985 Horseshoe Lake Rd in Granite City, Illinois. A coach brings the roster, Elite Speed provides the coaching staff and the indoor turf, and the group trains the same way the individual athletes do: footwork, running form and the first three steps.
According to the IHSA, Week 1 of the 2026 Illinois high school football season falls on August 20 to 22. Whatever your sport, the block you can actually book sits in the months before your own Week 1, not during it.
You already know what your team needs. Half your roster runs with their arms across their body, three of them cannot decelerate, and the ones who can move never learned to start. You also do not have a strength coach, a turf field in January, or four extra hours a week to run a speed program yourself.
That is the entire reason this exists. You keep coaching your sport. We take the movement.
That is the call. It takes about five minutes and you will know whether the dates exist before you hang up.
Classes here run 1 to 15 athletes at a time, because that is the number where a coach can correct one kid instead of policing a crowd. A 25-athlete roster gets scheduled so every athlete still gets coached rather than counted. Give us your number and we will tell you exactly how we would run it.
Team blocks are quoted on roster size and number of sessions, so you get a real number on the phone rather than a form response three days later. For scale: individual memberships here run $30 to $480 a month and a single drop-in class is $30 to $45.
[ 02 ] Logistics
Three moving parts. No proposal deck, no site visit, no procurement process.
Sport, roster size, the window you are working with, and the nights your practice calendar leaves open. If it is easier to type it than say it, the form below asks the same four things.
Elite Speed trains Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Your block gets built into those hours around what you already have scheduled.
Dynamic warm-up, mechanics work, speed and agility drills, then a sport-specific finish. Indoor turf, so the February block runs exactly like the July one. You are welcome on the floor for all of it.
[ 03 ] The work
The same three things every session, coached to your roster instead of demonstrated at them.
01 · The start
Out of a stance, a shuffle or a standstill. Most of what decides a play happens before anybody hits top speed, and it is the most coachable thing on your roster.
02 · The cut
Foot placement, hip height, arm action. The athletes who drift through a cut are not lazy, they were never taught where to put the foot. That is a technique fix, and it holds.
03 · The form
Arm swing, knee drive, ground contact. Cleaner form costs less energy per rep, which is why it shows up late in games and not only on a stopwatch.
[ 04 ] Rosters we take
The foundation does not change by sport. The finish does.
[ 05 ] Book it
Phone is fastest, and during training hours you will get somebody who coaches here. If it is 11:00pm and you are building next season’s calendar, send it here instead and we will pick it up.
[ 06 ] Coach questions
Give us the number and we build the block around it. Group classes at Elite Speed run 1 to 15 athletes at a time, because that is the size where a coach can correct an athlete instead of managing a crowd. A bigger roster gets scheduled so every athlete still gets coached. Call (618) 326-1555 with your count.
Team speed training runs at the Elite Speed facility, 3985 Horseshoe Lake Rd, Granite City, IL 62040. It is indoor turf, so a February block is the same session as a July block. If you need your team trained somewhere else, call (618) 326-1555 and ask.

Elite Speed is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and is closed Friday and Sunday. Team blocks get built into those hours, so bring your practice calendar and the window you are trying to fill.
Baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball and track. The foundation is the same for all six: accelerate, change direction, repeat it. What changes is the movement your athletes finish the session with and the language a coach uses on the floor.
[ 07 ] One call
Have your sport, your numbers and your window ready and this is a five-minute phone call.
