[ 01 ] Adults train here
Elite Speed runs a men’s fitness training program for adult men who want to be in better physical shape. Sessions combine strength training, cardiovascular exercise, flexibility and mobility, coached in person at 3985 Horseshoe Lake Rd in Granite City. Beginners are welcome, and so are men who already train hard.
According to the CDC, an adult needs at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity a week plus two days of muscle-strengthening work. That is the shape of the week this program is built to fill, which is why strength and conditioning sit in the same session rather than in separate ones.
Most of the men who train here are not chasing a scholarship. They want to be stronger, move better and feel better doing ordinary things. The program is built for that, and it is coached the way everything else in this building is coached: one person at a time, with somebody watching the movement instead of counting reps from across the room.
The program is open to adult men at any starting point. A man returning after a long layoff trains in the same room as a man who competes. Workouts vary from session to session, so the body keeps adapting and the training does not turn into the same hour on repeat.
The work happens on the indoor turf at 3985 Horseshoe Lake Rd, which means February does not cancel a session. Elite Speed is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
[ 02 ] Seven things
Nothing here is a template downloaded off the internet. The plan is written for you, and a coach is in the room while you run it.
01
Your routine is built around your goals, your schedule and what your body can handle today, then adjusted as that changes.
02
Progressive strength work so you can lift, carry and hold position without borrowing from your back.
03
Conditioning that trains the heart and lungs, scaled so it pushes you without wrecking the rest of your week.
04
Range of motion work in every session, because strength you cannot access through a full range is not much use.
05
Available if you want it. Some men want a hand with what they eat, some do not, and both answers are fine.
06
Nobody is being judged for where they are starting. The room is encouraging on purpose, and it is one of the reasons men keep showing up.
07
Experienced trainers who watch technique and fix it in the moment, which is the whole difference between coaching and a workout video.

You train at 3985 Horseshoe Lake Rd. A coach takes you through the warm-up, the strength work and the conditioning, and watches how you move so the plan fits you.
After that first session we set the routine, the frequency and how it progresses. Pricing depends on the plan you land on, so we talk it through on that first call before anything is booked.
[ 04 ] Questions
Men’s fitness training at Elite Speed is for adult men who want to improve their physical health and fitness. Beginners are welcome, and so are experienced athletes who already train hard. Coaches scale the work to the man in front of them, so the same session can be a first workout in years or a heavy day for a competitor.
A session mixes strength training, cardiovascular exercise and flexibility work, and the routines vary so the training does not go stale. A coach watches your technique and corrects it while you work. The exact mix depends on what you are training for, which is why the first conversation matters.
Elite Speed does not publish a fixed price for men’s fitness training, because the program is built around the individual. Call (618) 326-1555 and we will go through what you want to change, how often you want to train and what that costs, before you commit to anything.
No. Men start this program at every level of fitness, including men who have not trained in years. The point of a personalized routine is that the first few weeks are built for where your body is now, not for where somebody else’s is.
